I have been pursuing photography for 5 years, although my creative interests expand to other art forms. One of my favorite parts about growing up near Denver is the local music scene. I started photographing shows when I was 14 and it wasn’t long after that I decided I wanted to participate in the scene even more. When I was 15, I joined my first band and started learning what it was like to perform with others. Fast forward four years later, my bandmates may be different but my love for local music + art stays the same.
Everybody knows the feeling of wanting to do more. I’ve had an interest in journalism since I was a little kid, and starting this project seemed like the perfect way to combine all the things I love doing into one. I also wanted to come up with a way to freeze time, because it doesn’t feel like I’ve been exploring the local scene for four years. It feels like I’m just getting started, and I don’t want to waste anymore time being afraid to be creative.
